About Kidney Stones

Kidney stones form when a change occurs in the normal balance of water, salts, minerals, and other waste found in urine which causes crystallization of salts and minerals in it, sticking together and forming "pebbles” which can be as small as grains of sand or as large as golf balls.

As your body tries to pass it in urine, these crystals may block the passage along the urinary system, causing pain and blocking the urine flow. A BIG TRUTH is that if once someone has had a kidney stone, the probability of getting another is almost 50%- and some people may get several in their lifetime.
